The Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy (CEDS) is a plan required of Economic Development Districts (EDD) and updated every 5 years. This is a regionally owned planning process designed to build capacity and guide the economic prosperity and resiliency of a region. The CEDS provides a vehicle for individuals, organizations, local governments, institutes of learning, and private industry to engage in meaningful conversation and debate about what capacity building efforts would best serve economic development in the region. NSVRC maintains the CEDS on behalf of the region and operates as the EDD authorized by the Economic Development Administration. We invite you to review the updated CEDS, provide comments and suggestions, and engage with staff on this process now and in the future. For more information on CEDS development and implementation, please contact Ashley Shickle, Economic Development Program Coordinator, ashickle@nsvregion.org.
